Bengry Motors revs-up a treat for heritage and classic rally car fans

Bengry Motors has announced it will curate a unique collection of heritage and classic rally cars for local motoring enthusiasts to enjoy as part of its support for the South West Midlands Mazda MX-5 Owners Club. (11 & 12 May 2018). The dealership is inviting local motoring enthusiasts to view a collection of Mazda heritage cars and local classic rally cars that will be on display at its Southern Avenue showroom during the MX-5 International Rally (11 & 12 May 2018).

The Mazda heritage models on display will include the Mazda MX-5 GT4 and the Mazda MX-5 Le Mans. Visitors can also soak-up the sights and sounds of a selection of classic rally cars, including the Ford Cortina GT vehicle that Bill Bengry drove in the Daily Express 1968 London-Sydney Marathon.

Bengry Motors will host a coffee stop for the Mazda MX-5 Owners Club, providing local enthusiasts the opportunity to find out what Mazda MX-5 owners love about the fun-to-drive character of the iconic convertible. Rally memorabilia collected by Bill Bengry, founder of Bengry Motors, will also be on display throughout the event.

There will be refreshments available from 11am to 4 pm throughout both days for visitors to enjoy while looking round the Mazda heritage cars, local rally cars and my father’s rally memorabilia. We hope that our visitors enjoy this exclusive opportunity to see some iconic cars and the chance to chat with other MX-5 fanatics.”

The South West Midlands area of the Mazda MX-5 Owners Club are organising the event, and this being the 3rd International meeting are looking forward to hosting owners from 11 countries. The lucky Mazda owners will enjoy exhilarating roof-down driving in their Mazda MX-5 convertibles while putting the fun-to-drive sports car to the test. The engaging route will take in thrilling driving roads, starting from the Metropole Hotel in Llandrindod Wells, a lunch stop at Hampton Court Castle, and on to the coffee stop at Bengry Motors, before returning to the hotel.

Based on Southern Avenue in Leominster, Bengry Motors was founded in the 1940’s by Bill Bengry and remains a family owned business. Bill’s daughters, Vivien Melia and Cynthia Partridge are Dealer Principal and Director of the Southern Avenue showroom respectively. Their brother, Theo Bengry, is a Director and Cynthia's son, Steven is also involved with the business. Staff at the dealership have many years’ combined experience and are dedicated to continually improve their knowledge to provide excellent service to each customer.
